Scuba Diving in El Sec, Mallorca

El Sec

This small island takes just 15 minutes to reach by boat. There is a 6m shelf just under the mooring buoy that leads down to some big rocks and broken wreckage at about 18-20m. There are lots of octopi, scorpionfish and moray eels in amongst the rocks, there are often big schools of wrasse, sea bream and barracuda or you can hunt for the nudibranchs and pipe-fish hiding in the sea grass; a beautiful dive site for all levels.

Just beyond the broken wreckage, sitting at 28m is the remains of a large fishing boat sitting upright on the sand. You can see schools of barracuda inside the wreck, nudibranchs, gobies and moray eels. An excellent dive!
